Last August, my cousin and I visited our grandparents in Chehalis (small town a little bit aways from our state capital, Olympia) To our surprise, their entire backyard was covered in wildflowers. They had recently cut down what was practically a forest of pine trees, and the flowers grew in their place. I had so much fun out there, enjoying the lighting of the sunset (until the mosquitoes came out!), which you can't really see because a majority of the shots are in black and white. I will try to find a color one to add on here.

That's a beautiful picture Laura. I share your deep love of flowers. But in colorado where Steve and I live, they don't bloom 'til much later. I'm sooooo looking forward to spring! Yay flowers! I might post some pictures from last year on my photoshop.com portfolio....later. :) Great job once again!
This is a great picture, though on full view i noticed the background is a little grainy-ish looking. I guess thats just the camera or something, but either way, its a great composition, and I don't know if you thought consciously about it, but I would point out that this is a PERFECT example of the Rule of Thirds. I suspect that is why it's so captivating. I really like it.
Oh, and I see this is your camera. Very nice. The review of it looks really good and 10x zoom is pretty sweet, thats better than any lens I have for my D80 lol
